DER BESTATTER of the SRF with Mike Müller, Barbara Terpoorten, Reto Stalder, Suly Röthlisberger, Samuel Streiff and Martin Ostermeier are among the most successful Swiss series in recent years . Mike Müller plays the undertaker by the name of Luc Conrad, formerly a senior police officer with the Aargau cantonal police, who, even in his new job, cannot help investigating unusual deaths himself.

An important secret to the success of the series, which has been exported to Germany, Canada and the USA, among others, is the music of Raphael Benjamin Meyer (who was nominated for Detective Grimoire: Secret of the Swamp with the Jerry Goldsmith Award 2011). Immediately with the funeral title melody, he composed a piece that not only turned out to be a great catchy tune, but also perfectly convertible for Luc Conrad's adventures - be it as organ music, swing, polka or tarantella to name just a few examples to name. In addition to the title melody, Raphael Benjamin Meyer wrote numerous other topics for calm, dramatic, humorous and dark moments.

The highlights of this season 1-5 are now combined in a CD set published by Alhambra Records, a total of about 237 minutes of music on 3 CDs. We are very happy to be able to offer you an extensive insight into the wonderful musical world of BESTATTER and hope you enjoy listening.
