Perhaps the most acclaimed DVD collection of the year now has an official soundtrack! A special collection of music from Marilyn Monroe's greatest films, ranging from the musical extravaganzas GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES (1953) and THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS (1954) to Billy Wilder's farce THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH (1955) to the romantic comedies HOW TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE (1953) and BUS STOP (1956). Also included as a bonus is music from Monroe's unfinished final film project, SOMETHING'S GOT TO GIVE. This romantic comedy, directed by George Cukor and co-starring Dean Martin and Cyd Charisse, was plagued with production difficulties and went over schedule and budget. Forty minutes of footage, including Marilyn's famous swimming-pool scene, were restored for the VHS and DVD boxed set MARILYN MONROE: THE DIAMOND COLLECTION.

Almost all of this music is available here for the first time.

Featuring music by the legendary likes of Alfred Newman, Irving Berlin and Harold Arlen, with songs performed by Marilyn herself.
