Duel in the Sun (1946) is a sweeping Technicolor Western melodrama about Pearl Chavez, a young woman sent to live with wealthy relatives in Texas, who becomes entangled in a volatile love triangle between two brothers—one honorable, the other ruthless. Lavish production, grand landscapes, and emotionally charged performances make it a visually stunning, operatic classic.
