Based on a science fiction novel from the Meiji era, Honda Inoshiro and Tsuburaya Eiji have successfully created a hybrid of a monster movie and a war movie in this film. Akira Ifukube's music takes the film to new heights. The music has been revived with the latest remastering by engineers who have worked on Toho special effects soundtracks for many years!

In addition to the music used in the film, the bonus track includes another take and sound effects. This is the definitive disc for destroying the Mou empire.
