LAST WAGON is dark 1956 Delmer Daves action western with Richard Widmark, Felicia Farr, Nick Adams. Tackling both composer & conductor duties, Lionel Newman anchors with unusually strong main theme, then leads survivors of Indian attack to safety via exciting action cues, flavorful drama. Producer Nick Redman assembles all cues into lengthy suites for maximum coherency, Julie Kirgo writes detailed notes providing background on both projects. Alfred Newman, Lionel Newman conduct.
