UNSEALED
Following the success of the 1970 film "A Man Called Horse," Richard Harris returns in the role of Lord John Morgan, an Englishman adopted by the Sioux. Here he returns from England to find that white trappers have driven his tribe from their land. Lord Morgan tries to rally the demoralized Sioux to fight against the white men to regain their sacred lands.
"The Return of a Man Called Horse" (1976) is a score Rosenthal (along with anyone who has heard it) considers among his finest work. The film was directed by Irvin Kershner just four years before he would take the reins of George Lucas’ galaxy for The Empire Strikes Back.
Though the original LP has long been a collector favorite, the preparation of this Deluxe Edition gave Laurence Rosenthal the opportunity to revisit his score and select cues originally omitted from the LP for no reason other than time. Adding seven cues (which greatly add to the dramatic depth of the score), including the triumphant "Battle At the Fort," "The Return of A Man Called Horse" becomes one of the most exciting Deluxe Editions yet!
