En route to Paris, a group gets lost during a storm and seeks refuge in a castle owned by a ruined nobleman, who wants to join the group's trek to Paris.

Armando Trovajoli wrote one of his most beautiful OST's long association with director Scola, based on Baroque music that gives the right color to the story, between court dances and a recurring delicate love theme.

For this new CD edition the master tape with the album mock-up, containing all the music score recorded at that time, has been used from which minor faults pre-existing in the source have been eliminated and digitally remastered. The booklet is enriched with a gallery of archive stills.
