It was 1969, a peculiar period under the social and political point of view. A disillusioned communist, ex partisan, nephew of an important figure in the Salò Republic decides to dedicate himself to cinema becoming director after having been an intellectual. We are talking about Maurizio Liverani, director of this strange movie in which he denounced ambiguities of the communist political class in a way that at the time speaking was deemed scandalous. A good cast in which we have the Austrian actor Helmut Berger, famous for his performances in Luchino Visconti, Vittorio De Sica and Francis Ford Coppola movies. The wonderful score by Maestro Ennnio Morricone, released in the past by CAM in a double bill together with Stark System, is now available in expanded version, a great soundtrack of important artistic valor generated in one of the moments of high inspiration and evolution of the composer style. You can’t miss it, a bet you shall listen to blindfolded!
Remastered in January 2013 at Beat Records Studios from the first generation master tapes, the CD is released in jewel case with 12 pages booklet and in depth liner notes on the movie, director, music and a brief biography dedicated to Helmut Berger.
