The Affair of the Necklace is a romantic drama based on the controversial true story of Jeanne De La Motte Valois, a countess whose title was stripped from her by the French Royal Family during the late 18th Century. The story of her fight to restore her name and proper place in society is filled with mystery, intrigue, and desire, with an infamous diamond necklace at the center of it all.
The Affair of the Necklace stars Hilary Swank, Simon Baker, Adrien Brody, Jonathan Pryce and Christopher Walken and was directed by Charles Shyer (Father of The Bride).
David Newman has composed a lavish and gorgeous period score in the classic tradition of The Age of Innocence. Scored for orchestra and chorus, it is one of the composer's finest works. It's romantic and grand and makes for one of the most captivating soundtracks of the year.
