Rome, 1974: Guido is an artist who would like to be trendy, but feels trapped in a too bourgeois and too intrusive family. Serena, his wife, does not like the art, but she loves the artist and that's why she overruns him. The sons, Dario and Paolo of 10 and 5 years old, are involuntary witnesses to their irresistible erotic attraction, their disasters, their betrayals, their endless love negotiations. Among artistic happenings, impulsive acts, super 8 movie, lazy holidays, design, confessions, the movie tells of the happy years (Anni Felici) -but they seemed unhappy- of a family that, trying to be more free, finds itself in a prison with no way out. Can they be saved?

Franco Piersanti has composed an orchestral score that well represents the real atmosphere of the seventies, alternating variations of a love theme to experimental music that forms the environment to the artistic dimension in which the protagonist lives.
