"Endless / Sin fin" talks about love and relationships among people. A simple theme, of which we find so many variations in music, film and literature, and that often we turn into something complex. But the film is able to return it to its simplest and most basic status, in which past and present join through a journey showing two opposing aspects: the initial enthusiasm of falling in love, seen through a nostalgic view of yesteryear; and the pain guilt and disappointment encrusted over the years.
And it is done in a delicate and poetic way allowing us to be part of the relationships among the characters. Particularly, thanks to the affection and sensitivity of the composition and interpretation that Sergio de la Puente makes of said story with his music. The piano, the guitar, become small details of vital importance in the narrative.
A journey through life that reaches a high emotional depth in which a sentimental reunion and a beautiful plot based on a special vision of love, which has a lot to do with generosity. Probably, together with love, the two most basic human attitudes. A simple way to see emotion from the natural, the ability to approach to- or distance from- each other, the ability to decide what we are willing to do for love. As simple as being able to see and appreciate that we are perfectly capable of changing destiny... if we want to.
And Sergio de la Puente transfers all these feelings to the music of the soundtrack, achieving an intense and beautiful result.
