Legend & Butterfly, a big project with a total production cost of 2 billion yen, depicts the life of Nobunaga Oda, who has been filmed many times before, from a completely new perspective, worthy of his name as the most popular military commander. The film brings together the best cast and crew in Japan to depict on an overwhelming scale the 30-year journey of Nobunaga, whom everyone knows but no one knows, and his wife, Princess Nobuhime, and the mystery of the Honnoji Incident.

The music is composed by Naoki Sato, winner of the Best Music Award at the 29th Japan Academy Prize for "Always: Sunset on Third Street" and the creator of many hit films. This is the second collaboration with director Keishi Otomo after "Rurouni Kenshin: The Final / The Beginning". The film's grand scale, profound sound, and beautiful melodies will move viewers' hearts along with the moving story.
