Quartet Records, in collaboration with MovieScore Media, presents the CD release of the new score composed by Gabriel Yared (THE ENGLISH PATIENT, THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY, MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE, L’ENVOL) for the 2023 drama feature film directed by Valérie Donzelli, starring Virginie Efira, Melvil Poupaud and Virginie Ledoyen.

The story starts when Blanche Renard meets Greg Lamoureux and believes he is the one, but she soon finds herself caught up in a toxic relationship with a possessive and dangerous man.

Gabriel Yared composes and conducts a bittersweet and romantic – but also dark and disturbing – score, reflecting the passions and obsessions of the characters. Mainly written for strings, piano, guitar and woodwinds, this is the latest demonstration of the mastery of one of the most personal voices in film music of the last four decades. The album includes the original song “Une nouvelle vie” composed by Gabriel Yared and Valérie Donzelli, performed by Virginie Efira and Melvin Poupaud.
