Der Bestatter: Der Soundtrack zur SRF-Serie Vol. 2 – Die Musik aus Staffel 6+7

With THE UNDERTAKER VOL. 2 (music from season 6+7) Alhambra Records presents for the first time music from the last two seasons of the popular Swiss SRF series. Like all the episodes before, Raphael Benjamin Meyer wrote the music and incorporated many new ideas into his compositions in addition to the familiar themes:

For example, the casino jazz from "Les jeux sont faits" or another example are the two hit songs ("Verrückt vor Glück" + "Herzflimmern"), which were explicitly conceived for the episode "Der begrabene Hund" (The Buried Dog). "Verrückt vor Glück" (Crazy with happiness) was also transferred by Raphael Benjamin Meyer into a beautifully sad cello melody, which is part of the episode score. Things get highly dramatic with a new facet of the Undertaker-theme in the track "Lucs Erinnerung an seine tote Mutter" (Luc's memory of his dead mother). The episode "Asche auf dein Haupt" (Ashes on your head) delivers a snappy music fitting to the horse race episode and "Phönix aus der Asche" (Phoenix from the ashes) finds a worthy & impressive finale with "Lux aeterna".

We are very happy to present the music from season 6 + 7: With the now available double CD, Alhambra Records closes the last soundtrack gap of the Undertaker-series (2013 - 2023), meaning this release follows the 3-CD set for seasons 1-5 (A 9044), the music for the feature film (A 9069), as well as the Raphael B. Meyer sampler (A 9058), with partly otherwise unreleased music from this series.

This 2-CD-Set contains a total of approx. 154 minutes of music from the last 12 episodes of the series. The CD booklet contains 16 pages.
