Mysterious monsters called "Reapers" have emerged from underground pits in great numbers. Three years have passed since 95% of the human population perished. The survivors live in isolated communities in the mountains above 2,500 meters above sea level, where the Reapers do not invade. Will lives with his young son Hunter in a refuge in the Rocky Mountains. His wife was killed by reapers. Will runs out of medicine for his son, who suffers from a lung disease, and decides to cross the 2,500-meter line down the mountain to the hospital at the base of the mountain with Nina, a former scientist who is researching ways to defeat the Ripper, in order to find medicine.

Brad Fuller, the renowned producer of "The Quiet Place" and "The Purge" series, has teamed up with Anthony Mackie, who thrilled the world with his starring role in "Captain America: Brave New World," to deliver a new level of desperation. The creators of "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" and "Godzilla vs. Kong" will design the creatures of the monsters that attack mankind. The music composed by H. Scott Salinas, who collaborated with director George Nolfi for the fourth time on "Allegiance," a spy drama, and "The Bunker," among others. The tension and fear-inducing music further assaults the viewer.
