Alfredo (Ugo Tognazzi) is a traveling salesman who enjoys his job because
he can continue his many amorous adventures. Soon he is overcome with the
consequences of his actions and feels the pressure of too many paramours.
Alfredo chooses a way out by assuming the identity of a man who has
recently drowned. He watches in anonymity as his wife and his many lovers
gather together for his funeral in this engaging comedy of manners.
