No Way Out is a 1987 American neo-noir thriller film, directed by Roger Donaldson and written by Robert Garland based on the 1946 Kenneth Fearing novel The Big Clock. It stars Kevin Costner as Tom Farrell, a naval officer who enters a romantic relationship with Susan Atwell, the mistress (Sean Young) of Secretary of Defense David Brice (Gene Hackman).
