Turner Classic Movies is proud to present A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES, the latest title from the new TCM Originals line, featuring programs produced by and exclusive to TCM. This set of four one-hour specials provides a Film Studies 101 look at top cinematic genres, with numerous movie clips and expert commentary from Hollywood insiders.

A Night at the Movies: The Suspenseful World of Thrillers explores the historical events that have impacted the genre and the stylistic tools filmmakers use to give their audiences that extra shot of adrenaline. Key insights are provided by TCM Host Robert Osborne, author Ken Follett (Eye of the Needle, 1981), actor and director Kenneth Branagh (Dead Again, 1991), actor Norman Lloyd (Hitchcock's Saboteur, 1942) and dozens of other experts.

A Night at the Movies: The Gigantic World of Epics examines the genre from multiple points of view: great epic directors and actors; the challenges of literary adaptation and big-budget moviemaking; the renaissance of the genre with films like The Godfather (1972) and Gladiator (2000). Expert commentary is provided by the likes of actor Omar Sharif (Doctor Zhivago, 1965) and director Steven Spielberg (Saving Private Ryan, 1998).

A Night at the Movies: The Horrors of Stephen King, features best-selling author and filmmaker King, who takes viewers on a journey through the many varieties of horror films and examines why moviegoers long to be frightened. Along the way, he discusses the movies that had an impact on his writing, including Night of the Living Dead (1968), as well as titles adapted from his own works such as Carrie (1976), The Shining (1980) and many more.

A Night at the Movies: Merry Christmas! looks at perennial favorites like Its a Wonderful Life (1946) and Miracle on 34th Street (1947), and examines variations within the genre, such as holiday romances and family movies. Behind-the-scenes stories are shared by actor Chevy Chase (National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, 1989), actress Margaret OBrien (Meet Me in St. Louis, 1944) and many other industry insiders.
