In this thriller, set in France, Donald Houston is a man sentenced to life imprisonment in an insane asylum after murdering the man who raped his daughter, Annette. Several years later, Geoff Farrell, a traveling American artist, is seduced by Annettes stepmother, who convinces him to help with her husbands escape. After the escape, the countryside has a reign of terror.
