Real life and reel life happily intersected for vivacious Betty Grable, she of the vaunted, iconically photographed “million dollar legs,” seen to great effect in the custom-tailored Technicolor® musical vehicle Pin Up Girl (1944). A loosely assembled but consistently bubbly diversion about a yarn-spinning USO hostess playing a dizzying game of dual identities with potential soldier beaus while passing through New York, it also gives ample room to comedy favorites Martha Raye, Joe E. Brown and Eugene Pallette.
