Silva Screen will be releasing the soundtrack to the highly anticipated British film, “The Face of an Angel” by composer Harry Escott next month as the film hits cinemas on general release after premiering at the Toronto Film Festival last year.
Director Michael Winterbottom’s latest film is inspired by the book by Barbie Latza Nadeau, “Angel Face”, which draws upon the Newsweek/Daily Beast crime coverage of the notorious Amanda Knox murder trial. The plot follows a Hollywood film director played by Daniel Brühl, whose waning career takes him to Italy to research a new project. The ensuing investigation into the death of a young English student becomes a backdrop for his personal demons which are played out in intense dream sequences. Starring alongside him are Kate Beckinsale as an American journalist and fashion model Cara Delevingne in her debut acting role as another English student.
Harry Escott has worked with Michael Winterbottom previously, on “A Mighty Heart” and “The Road To Guantanamo” and other credits include “Shame”, “Hard Candy”, “Shifty”, “The Arbor” and BAFTA winning “Poppy Shakespeare”.
